Snow, snow, snow…

Blogpost number 8 in Connie Ragen’ 30 Days Blog Challenge.

“Wow, snow!!

My daugters voice was exited this morning when she woke up and looked out of the window. There was snow every where! She couldn’t get outside quickly enough to play in the snow! I guess kids always love snow, but it made me think about how often my daughter, who is 7 has experienced snow..? Not many times!

I don’t know if it is because of Global warming, but it is a fact that the past ten years we rarely have had snow in Denmark during winther. Actually my daughter has only been out sledging once in her life.. We have had snow a couple of times but mostly it melts almost as soon as it hits the ground.

So today is a snow post! Today we are dreaming of a white christmas!

Here are three pictures of Danish snow scenery:

    Claus, that is beautiful.

Do you live by the ocean?

I live in snow country. Utah is famous for its’ snow because is is so
light and fluffy. The ski resorts opened late this year because we did not have snow until 2nd weed of December. Usually they are opened by Thanksgiving.

Enjoy your snow! Have fun with your daughter.

Hi Sheila, yes, the ocean is my backyard. I love the ocean, and I’m never tired of watching it and listening to it!

But Utah sounds pretty cool too! Do you think it’s due to Global Warming that ski season is late this year?

  4. Absolutely beautiful my friend!

    Thanks for sharing the pics!

  6. I didn’t know you lived by the sea. What great inspiration for your music. The photos are lovely!

    • Claus D Jensen says:

      Hi Kathy, thank you.
I have got my best inspirationd by the sea. Denmark is a small country, and we have a lot of coast. There is never far to the sea… And I live pretty close to it! :-D

I used to live in Spokane, Wash and before that in Northern New Jersey. They both had a LOT of snow in the winter. I do miss the stark beauty of it, but I don’t, don’t, don’t miss shoveling it, driving in it, being cold in it. Snow is best when viewed out a window while standing in front of a roaring fire! :-)

  8. Absolutely Beautiful!!!
    I too love the ocean,
think that snow is best viewed through a picturesque window,
and can tell you first hand
that the areas in Utah that Sheila talks about are creations of “God”.
    Kat~
p.s. on second thought, I recall
one of my most favorite memories of an experience is standing alone at night in the center of fresh & falling snow. It was the first time I recognized what silence sounded like :)

Claus~ I love your pictures. I for one, can’t imagine winter without snow. I live in Maine which is the North Eastern most state in America. Your daughter would love the snow here!

    Thanks for sharing the photos.
