Out of Nowhere
Being a composer of music I often wonder:
Where does the music come from?
Where is it before someone compose it and write it down and play it?
Is it already made, just waiting for someone to pick it like an apple from a tree?
J. S. Bach ended all his compositions writing:
”From the hand of God.”
He knew where his music came from!
I don’t know.. When I make my music, I get the inspiration in many different ways.
I want to share a special story with you.
My very first published CD is called Out of Nowhere.
It’s named after the ”composition” Out of Nowhere.
The quotation marks are because the word composition is not right here!
I want to share with you, how Out of Nowhere was created.
At that time, I was working with a guy, who made seminars for business people about personal growth. I was playing music at the events and telling about the effect of music, and how to use music to beat stress.
At one event, we were waiting for people to arrive.
Nobody came! Not one single person!!
We had never tried that before, and was laughing and making jokes about it. I sat down with my guitar and started to play (just to ”kill” time).
Suddenly it was there! I just played it. From start to the very end.
I played it again and again to be sure to remember it.
A totally finished composition! I was speechless.
I knew instantly I had to call it Out of Nowhere.
Because “Out of Nowhere” was were it came from!
When I came home, I did some very small adjustments to it,
and if you go to Products you can hear a sample of that music,
which that very special day came to me.
- Literally Out of Nowhere.
Thank you!

Claus,
I love it. I feel the same way when I write. Sometimes a thought jumps into my head and just won’t leave me alone. It’s not something I can MAKE happen, it seems to only happen when I’m relaxed and open to the messages from the Universe or God.
Hi Holly,
Thank you for your comment!
Yes, it’s a special feeling, when “inspiration” hits you!
Your music, Claus, is most definitely from the hand of God!
Great post!
KK
Wow, Thank you Karen!
I REALLY appreciate it!
beautiful brother, you have the hand of God guiding you and inspiring you!
Thank you my dear friend!
I try to be very humble to the creative process. And act when inspiration hits!
I call it the “flow” I have had similar experiences when designing products. For me… it feels like the creativity is flowing through me not from me… and there is no stopping it. I’m sure other artists have had similar experiences.
Thanks for sharing!
Hi Kathy,
I guess you are right. Must have been great for you to design products in that “energy”!
I think you are on the right track with it, when this happens!
Dear CD,
I am so grateful that life has brought me to the door of yor music and your friendship. You are such an inspiration and definitly what I call a clear channel of the creative intelligence of life.
Kat

The story you told on Trapper&Claus&MM&Y show about how you came up with the music for “Sleep Secrets Audio” was similarly Divinely Inspired!!
Thanks for your contributions to changing the world one musical note at a time!!
Hi kat, Yes creating the music for sleepsecretaudio was a special experience, too. Might write a blog post about that too..

Music is my addiction-now. Been thru others-but it is the healthy one. I am not a musician…but am one who studies and am captivated by words…as for I am one who loves to just write how I feel…with all I have gone thru-and God pulled me thru. Music is so healthy, when you don’t get stuck on the dwelling kind in down times…it is amazing how you can express your feelings-study others thru their music..God works wonders thru it-starting back in Psalms…and the music created thru that more today-I am a Lifehouse fan-one that when I didn’t know Jesus-and times were tough-I was bitter, husband beat me…I could hear anger in the music…when I found light and Jesus-I connected with what Jason was writing thru his lyrics-and was just amazed!! When we are up-are view points on lyrics are so different then when we are down. Go figure. Blessings to you and the talent you have been blessed with!! AMEN! Some like me will love it…but just don’t have the talent!

Sheila
Hi Sheila,
I too love my audio player! It took some time to make it work,
but it was worth it!
Oh yes, you got it exactly right Claus.
I think it was Schumann who just before his death confessed in private “I didn’t write a single line of my music!”, meaning it just came… out of nowhere.
Off to check out “out of nowhere” now!
Hi Juho!
Thank you for visiting my blog!
And thank you for the comment!
I didn’t know those words from Schumann. But they are great!
Hi Claus
I am curious to know if you have created any music with Birds in it.
I massage, use Reiki & such and I have a cd that I am not happy with, but as you have an interest in birds and your music is so intuitive I am wondering if you have created anything in the area.
At Lullabies from Music for Mother and Child, we use the song of the Blackbird. Not on all compositions, but on some of them. Also on the CD Out of Nowhere, there is naturesounds such as birds song in the forest waves etc..
You can hear a short sample from Lullabies at http://www.musicformotherandchild.com

Claus
