How to turn off Facebook notifications emails.
Recently my old dad asked me if I could help him disable annoying notification emails he was suddenly receiving from Facebook every time his Facebook friends updated their status, shared a link etc.
As he said, he used to just get emails when Facebook notifications included him.
Other people I know have asked me to help them with the exact same issue, and I have just myself edited which notifications from Facebook I wanted emails about.
So I decided to write this blog post about it.
Please note that facebook all the times changes their design and ways to edit your account, so this post describes how to stop facebook email notifications as writing this!
Step 1: Log in to Facebook and go to your Home Page. Click on the small white arrow in the upper right corner.

Step 3: In upper left corner choose Notifications.
Step 3: Click on Notifications in upper left menu
Step 4: Unmark this little square.

Step 5: Find Recent Notifications.
Now you will see Recent Notifications
Step 6: Just to the right of each notification you will find an envelope icon.
To the right of the notifications you find an envelope icon
Step 7: Choose the kind of notification type you want to exclude, and click with your mouse to disable this notification type.
Choose a notofication that you don't want emails about and roll the mouse over the envelope icon. Click to disable emails for notification type.
That’s it!

I have a question please reply, If i deselect all the envelopes in step 6 am i just deselcting email notification or am i deselect facebook notifications. because i want to still continue to recieve facebook notifications when i log into facebook. but i do not want to recieve any email notifications through my email account

Hi, After step 7, is there any save option as I need to follow these steps every time i login or refresh my FB screen? I continue to get these unwanted notifications everytime i login even after following these steps. Please advice…
Hi! Thank you for your question. Following these steps is for choosing which notofication emails you want. You don’t have to save. Once you have unmarked an ‘envelope’ you won’t get emails anymore about this kind of notification. Best regards, Claus
