A comment from one of my blog readers inspired me to use Google Keyword Tool to create the title for a blog post. This is a praise to that reader! And to invite you to use Google Keyword Tool, too.

Google Keyword Tool

- How a comment from a reader inspired me to use Google Keyword Tool creating a blog post title

One of the great things (and there are many!) about getting comments from your readers to your blog posts, is when somebody adds valuable information to what you have written.

Someone did that to my post: Ten Tips on Writing a Blog Post.

The reader is Insightful Nana, and she has a great Blog, insightfulnana.com which I will highly recommend that you visit!

Tip number one in my post was about the Title of your blog post. It says:

”Each post must bear a title that demands a reader’s attention right away. The titles should be so chosen that they should captivate the reader’s interest and fulfill the vision by being potent in informative. Longer titles are better, since they offer a little more detail about the post, which offers a fairly good range of coverage.”

The comment inspired me to use Google Keyword Tool..

Insightful Nana added this comment:

”Another tip on the titles. I always do a key word search before I enter a title. You would be surprised. Sometimes the plural of your key word will make a great deal of difference. But.. you won’t know that unless you do a search.”

This is really a great Tip!

I actually used it myself when I created my post, Out of Nowhere.

One way of checking the keyword in your title is using Google Keyword Tool

Here you can enter your keywords and see the number of people searching for them in Google each month in average. You can also ask to get synonyms and ideas for other keywords.

I learned, that in March, 2009, 40,500 people searched in Google for ”out of nowhere”!! And in average each month almost 20,000 people search for these words!

Before I wrote the post I had my doubts about the title, but need I say that I chose Out of Nowhere…?

This is a great example how a comment from a reader can add value to your Blog, your other readers, and yourself!

I very often use Google Keyword Tool when I work with SEO, but;

I had never thought of using Google Keyword Tool for this!

So a big THANK YOU to Insightful Nana! :-D

for my keyword searches. It is
free. Be sure to sign in so that
you don’t have to do the captcha.
For some reason after I sighn
in I have to login twice to get
    rid of the captcha.

  3. CD,
Another shining example of the truth “When two or more join forces in a common goal, an energy emerges that is greater than the sum of it’s parts.
    Great article on many levels.
    Kat~
BTW-Your archive is looking really good.

  4. Thanks Claus for the compliment.

    I, like Sheila prefer http://nichebotclassic.com/

I also use http://www.kwbrowse.com/ It’s helpful for long tail phrases and related keywords.

How do I use the keyword chart?
The keyword chart contains two axes, one of them is for keywords which are different but related to your search keyword, and the other is for keywords which contain your search keyword. They try to place the most relevant keywords in the middle. You can navigate by simply clicking on the keywords. This will
    give you a deep search.

    Again… Thanks Claus… I’m glad I could be helpful

Great info! I typically just write and don’t check (it’s true!) so I will take all of this great advice and start to keyword check my post titles. Hmmm…

    Thanks

  6. I have to day I just write, and let the chips fall where they may…though I have included the odd inspired word in the title such as Spam.

If I can find a way to make Google Key Words fun, then I’ll be on my way.

:) Thanks for sharing your inspiration!
